A remarque is a small pencil drawing which the artist draws directly on to a print, usually below the heading
It would normally be an aircraft or land vehicle which is in some way connected to the main image. Or it could be something else entirely if the customer requests it. A remarque adds great value to a print, as it makes it unique and usually fetches a higher price on the secondary market.
Some sub editions of a title are all remarqued. Hence the term ‘Remarqued Edition.’ However, any print in any edition can be remarqued upon request.
