Consisting of a pencil drawing of Spitfire pilots at readiness before a sortie, plus an RAF/RCAF officer’s cap badge, plus SIX Spitfire pilot signatures:
- SQUADRON LEADER DON LAUBMAN, RCAF. From D-Day to VE Day, thirteen RCAF fighter pilots in service on the continent accounted for more than 120 German aircraft destroyed. TOP SCORER was Squadron Leader Don Laubman of 412 Squadron (and later of 402 Squadron), with FIFTEEN victories. Decorations include DFC and Bar.
- F/O GORDON OCKENDEN RCAF, has four and a half victories. He was with 443 (F) Squadron, 144 Wing, the first to move into France after D-Day. He is credited with over 35 German vehicles destroyed.
- F/O DON MURCHIE RCAF, was with 412 Squadron. He was involved in fighter sweeps east of the Rhine, 80 operational sorties total. He is credited with numerous vehicles and locomotives destroyed.
- F/O DOUGLAS GAUDIN RAF, was with 122 Squadron RAF. He then joined 417 Squadron and at one time was based in Alexandria, flying Spitfires and Hurricanes. Over one hundred sorties.
- FLIGHT SERGEANT DOUGLAS MATHESON RCAF, was with 122 Squadron RAF and later with 417 Squadron RCAF. He flew Hurricanes and Spitfires.
- FLIGHT SERGEANT HAROLD HEACOCK RCAF, was with 167 Squadron RAF and later with 412 Squadron RCAF. 112 sorties.
