Consisting of an original pencil drawing of Me-109 fighter pilots awaiting refuelling and maintenance on aircraft, before the next mission. A truly unique scenario for pencil!

With FIVE original matted signatures of these Me-109 fighter pilots:

Unteroffizier Gerhard Plotz started his flying career on sailplanes in 1938. He joined the Luftwaffe in 1943, flying the Me-109 G-6, G-12 and K-4. He served with JG-1.

Unteroffizier Jacob Muller served with JG-77 and flew the Me-109G. He had 50 missions.

Unteroffizier Fritz Wiener was briefly with Jagdgruppe 200 during the Allied invasion and then was transferred to II. 7/JG-11. He was then involved in the Ardennes offensive (‘Battle of the Bulge’). He was re-deployed to Berlin/Straussberg to fight advancing Soviet forces. On January 29, 1945, he was shot down by flak and severely wounded. 25 mission total. He flew the Me-109 G.

Leutnant Theo Nau joined the Luftwaffe in 1943. He was involved in ‘Operation Bodenplatte’ during the ‘Battle of the Bulge.’ On January 14, 1945, he was shot down by Captain Joe Cordner of the 365th FG. Lt. Nau parachuted and after some time in hospital, joined JG-77 in Czechoslovakia. His last combat mission was in the Me-109 on May 8, 1945. He was a POW in the hands of the Americans but was handed over to the Russians. He escaped to West Germany, where he was released by US occupation forces.

Unteroffizier Gerhard Kott joined the Luftwaffe in 1941. On his second mission, he downed a B-17. But within seconds he was attacked by P-51 Mustangs and had to use his parachute. He then joined 4/JG-3 which was equipped with the Fw-190. His next posting was to 3/JG-4 Sturmgruppe. During suceeding missions he shot down four B-17′s and one B-24. He received the Iron Cross First Class in October 1944. His victories, including Russian victories, totalled 8.

This piece is a serious collector’s item, bound to increase in value, especially because of these signatures!
