Air Force, had the most enemy aircraft destroyed in air combat in one day (55.5), most enemy jet aircraft (262′s) destroyed in air combat (18.5), was the fastest scoring fighter group during the last year of the war, and had 42 aces!
Mustang Ace 1st. Lt. Arval Roberson was from Indiana and racked up 76 missions, had six and a half enemy aircraft destroyed and one probable. In Korea, he did 100 missions in the F-51 and 26 missions in Vietnam. Decorations include DFC with 3 OLC’s, Bronze Star.
