Consisting of a pencil drawing of German soldiers moving to the Russian Front in a half-track. They are surveying the damage done by the Luftwaffe and artillery, prior to their arrival.

Ernst Krag WAS ONE OF THE MOST DECORATED SOLDIERS OF THE GERMAN REICH. He joined the SS/VT in 1935 and was assigned to 5/Germania. After parachute training, he was promoted to SS Unterscharmfurher. By 1940 he was Abteilungsadjutant under Herbert Otto Gille. Krag led the 11 batterie during the first Russian campaigns. He was severely wounded in 1942 and returned to Germany to recover. In october 1942 he moved to the Sturmgeschultzabteilung as 2 Batterie Chief. At this time he was awarded the German Cross in Gold. In July of 1944 he took command of the Aufklarungsabteilung and was awarded the Knight’s Cross and the ONLY Oak Leaves given to a member of the Aufklarungsabteilung.
