German armor on the advance, featuring the ORIGINAL signature of Lt. General Heinrich Eberbach, his photo and a pencil drawing of armor, plus his Knight’s Cross (replica).
Eberbach participated in the German invasion of Poland in 1939 with Panzer Regiment 35. During the battle of France, he supported General Manteuffel’s offensive across the Meuse River in Flanders and on up to Lyon. In June of 1941 he was commander of 5.Panzer-Brigade in Guderian’s XXIV.Panzer-Korps. Eberbach was there during the invasion of the Soviet Union and was promoted to Major General and made commander of the 4.Panzer-Division in Tula, Russia. He was awarded the Knight’s Cross. In early 1944 he was promoted to to General der Panzergruppen. He was there at the Normandy invasion. In July he took command of Panzer Gruppe West. At war’s end he was captured by the British.
